Ask the Internet - Birthday Ideas

So, my birthday is coming up next Saturday, May 17th. I will be 27. Ack. It's the official entry into my LATE TWENTIES and I am terrified. However, I am determined to enjoy my day and avoid feeling sorry for myself at all costs. The problem is that I have waited until a week before my birthday to actually attempt to plan anything. So what's a girl to do? Is it acceptable to throw myself a party at a bar? What do you guys do for your birthday?

OMG, your LATE TWENTIES???! Gasp! Shudder....

Puhlease girlfriend, you've got a ways to go. Life begins at 40, ya know. You're much wiser and still young enough to have fun.

At least that's my greatest hope (I'm 32.) ;P

I have been having my Quarter-century crisis since I was 24. Birthdays after 21 are just blah, yah know?

You know I'm boycotting all birthday stuff this year, but hey, I think have a bar party is a great idea.

I avoid it like it's a flea-ridden plague rat looking for a cuddle. If birthdays don't keep coming with milestones (license, vote, booze) then I don't want them.
Have a happy one.

K

Hi there - came here by way of Aunt Becky. My birthday is also on May 17th. I'll be 31 - don't worry about 27! I actually haven't planned anything either and have no ideas really. I hope you have a great day though. You should do whatever you want to do that day!

We've been playing SingStar on the PS2 every saturday night since Tina's birthday. Karaoke and women over 30 should NOT go together...except when mixed with booze. So basically we're in the clear. lol

Go to the bar! And if there's video and karaoke involved all the better. :D

Aww - all you guys that have come over from Aunt Becky are the sweetest, coolest readers ever. Seriously, when Becky and I get together, we talk about you guys & how amazingly awesome you are.

When I am not in total awe over the fact that people read my stuff at all, I am just so grateful.

Thanks for being here, internet friends. You guys are the bees knees.

Hey there! I'm visiting from Honeywine's page. I'm going to be 28 this year. I just keep telling myself life begins at 30. I'm right, right? (Boy I sure hope so)
